The nine-tread stairway features 610mm-wide ribbed rubber treads as standard, providing a substantial stepping surface for routine workplace access. For applications requiring a different tread specification, Expamet, anti-slip and punched tread options are also available.
A continuous single rail guard surrounds the elevated platform and extends down both sides of the stairway. This provides useful hand support when ascending and descending and gives operators additional support when positioned on the platform.
The integrated handlock anchorage system helps secure the steps before use. When the handlock is engaged, the front feet rest firmly on the floor to provide a stable contact point. Protective plastic floor pads are fitted to the feet.
Despite their substantial working height, the steps remain mobile, with two front swivel nylon castors and two rear fixed nylon castors allowing the unit to be repositioned around suitable warehouse and industrial flooring.
