Steel Spring Loaded Shoring Bars are a popular heavy-duty bar which are extremely durable and form a cost effective load restraint system when inserted into a vehicle/trailer internal load track with 25mm holes. Typically costing around half the amount of the aluminium bars with twice the capacity 800kg (unrated) spread equally across the bar, however they weigh 7kg each which is around 40% more than the lighter aluminium bars at just 4kg per bar.

Aluminium Spring Loaded Shoring Bars (BS003/BS011)

Bespoke made to order aluminium spring loaded shoring bars cost more and take longer to manufacture but they weigh considerably less as mentioned above up to 40% lighter than steel shoring bars. Therefore if you are looking to reduce the weight in your vehicle or trailer then aluminium shoring bars could be the best option for you.
